*UX/UI improvement for digital lock app

The project was from my internship in Habo gruppen AB

Brief: Habo’s range includes a smart digital door lock – Habo Tribe 2, a crucial future category (HaboGruppen). Habo has developed its own app for product configuration and remote control, which is a key selling point. It is essential that both UX and UI are of a high standard.

The product manager sees opportunities for improvements in the user interface and structure to enhance the user experience. My task is to review the current version of the app, conduct market research, and provide suggestions for improvements based on my study. Within the given timeframe, I will also design a new version of the user interface.

Working Process

During my internship at Habo Gruppen AB, I worked as a digital product designer, focusing on improving the UX/UI of the Habo Tribe 2 app. My approach included conducting an in-depth study of the product, competitor analysis, and user research to understand needs and identify areas for improvement. Using tools like Figma, I designed a refined interface that aligns with the company’s tone, Scandinavian design principles and enhances the user experience. I collaborated closely with the product manager and engaged in regular feedback loops to ensure the designs met both user expectations and business goals.

Skill learned

This internship helped me develop practical skills in digital product design, including using advanced features in Figma, such as auto layout and animations. I gained valuable insights into agile workflows, industrial standards, and effective cross-department communication. Additionally, I enhanced my problem-solving, UX/UI design, and research abilities, while also learning about the role of a product manager and honing my teamwork and adaptability skills.
