Japanese Room Decor Theme UI
The project was from the course Content Design for New Media (Teacher: Stina Freijd / Location: Jönköping University)
Brief: Create a UI design of a homepage, freely choose the theme. Focus on layout, typography, and overall aesthetics.
Working Process
I initiated the project by defining the theme – a Japanese-style room decor. Opting for a color palette inspired by sakura pink and rice color, I aimed to evoke a serene ambiance. Integrating round-shaped elements contributed to a soft yet clean aesthetic. To enhance the visual appeal, I utilized MidJourney to generate decorative images aligned with the desired atmosphere. The choice of Sen typography added a clear and thematic touch to the overall design, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious user experience.
Skill learned
I acquired the skill of aligning visual elements with a concept, ensuring a cohesive design. This involves adeptly selecting colors, images, typography, and other design elements that harmonize with the intended theme or atmosphere.
