Recipe Website

The group project was from the course Web & User Interface Design (Teacher: : Garrit Schaap / Location: Jönköping University)

Brief: Create a recipe website that includes a minimum of 10 selectable items, each with at least one detail page. Implement an order process for the selected items.

Working Process

For our group project, which involves creating a website using HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript, we are venturing into web development for the first time. To meet the first requirement of offering 10 selectable items, we are designing 9 clickable food images leading to recipe details and 1 clickable cookbook from the shop. Addressing the second requirement, we are creating individual information pages for all 9 food items. Finally, to fulfill the third requirement, we are implementing a shop process leading to the option of purchasing a cookbook. My contributions include the design of the logo and efforts to enhance the layout of category pages using CSS grids, and using JavaScript to build a star rating system.

Skill learned

In this project, I gained insights into essential components of a website and the importance of responsiveness. Through hands-on experience, I honed my skills in HTML and CSS, laying a foundation for effective web design. Additionally, I began delving into JavaScript, broadening my understanding of interactive web elements.
